Turquoise Sandwich Color Studio holds events that encourage everyone to CREATE • LAUGH • CONNECT!
Bring your 12-year-old self to the party, but leave the inner critic at home - you only bought one seat for a good reason.
What to expect at the event: FUN, entertainment, some knowledge,
meeting strangers, painting, making new friends!
Below are parties you can join. Please select as many as you like.
The parties are being held at various venues between Lincoln City to Yachats along the Central Oregon Coast.
Doni will instruct on how to paint the piece, teach ways to use a brush when applying acrylic, provide tons of encouragement, will probably say fuck more than once, and answer questions about the process. While Doni is instructing, she will move semi-fast to show the partygoers how to get through each step. She will offer tips and tricks as everyone paints, and encourage everyone to enjoy the process rather than the outcome.
We will be using acrylic paint so please keep that in mind when choosing your party outfit.
This is the list of all the party favors we supply:
Apron - to keep your party frock free of paint.
Canvas - the event's painting transferred onto the canvas.
Paint and palette - the colors needed will be in small pots.
Brushes - these come in sets of 5 and they are quality.
Table Easel - it's white and cute
Glass jar - this will be used as a water jar to clean the brushes between colors.
Cloth rags - are crazy absorbent.
A seat - at the party!!!!!
Most events will provide parking. Come early to get settled in, the event space will be open 10 minutes prior to the party. Only the person who purchased a seat should come to the event. All venues have wheelchair access. Some parties will be at coffee shops, cafes, bars or wineries where food and drinks can be purchased. We will add general info about the event spaces, like cafes, art centers, or B.Y.O.B.
*ALL EVENTS ARE RESERVATION ONLY. GRAB YOUR SEATS BELOW.
• Paint pots have a painted dot on the lid that matches the color dot on the painting.
• Start with the background first.
• If right-handed, start at the top left corner and work down so that wet paint doesn't
smudge. Opposite for left-handed.
• Choose one color and paint all the places that have that color dot. It’s easier to clean
brushes one color at a time.
• Let paint dry in between each color, doing this helps to not smudge wet paint.
• Clean the brush thoroughly after each color by rinsing it out in a water jar
• Don’t leave brushes in water. Dry them on a rag each they are cleaned and set them aside.
• Change water in between each color if needed.
• Some colors may need a second coat.
• Mistakes are easily fixed by painting over the area that is messed up.
• When finished, sign the painting in the bottom right corner.
These instructions will be included in your Paint by Color Kit.
